Alternative Weddings by Rev Roberts...

Weddings done to YOUR spiritual preference

(Serving the Amicalola Falls area in the North Georgia Mountains)

Alternative weddings don't have to begin with a lot of hoopla. Many marriages often start off with a big wedding where all of your friends and families come together to witness the joining of your two lives together. While these are often wonderful occasions, they are frequently stressful for the couple involved.

All you really need to get married is a valid marriage license, the two of you and, most importantly, ME, one of the wedding officiants who can make you legal in the eyes of the state of Georgia. Those are the bare necessities and everything else is incidental.

The next most important thing that you have to have is a wedding ceremony, which is made up of your wedding vows. This is what you will be saying to each other when you promise to commit yourselves to each other for the rest of your lives.

Hello, I am Reverend Doctor Barbara Roberts, a non-denominational minister and marriage celebrant. You can have Alternative Weddings such as non-denominational, inter-faith, LGBT Weddings, and Recommitment Ceremonies in the north Georgia mountains area.

Here you can find the perfect phrasing for what you want to say to each other and then it will be personalized with your names and printed up to be read at the actual marriage ceremony itself. It is then yours to keep as a memento or to use again if you want to have a wedding vows renewal on down the road.

There are also wordings for blended family wedding vows and how to include children from former marriages the second time around for a really meaningful wedding. This applies to Unity Candle rituals and Sand Ceremonies as well, which are really good ways to have everyone be able to participate. You can even find out how to put everything into a nice wedding program that others can keep after the ceremony.

Places To Get Married

There are lots of wonderful places around here to have a fabulous outdoor wedding of any size, big or small. A favorite alternative wedding site is Amicalola Falls State Park, one of North Georgia’s most beautiful parks, which is close by. These falls, which drop 729 feet down and are the highest falls east of the Mississippi River.

Of course, you do need a back-up in case of inclement weather and that is taken into consideration too. You can also learn about the wedding etiquette that you need to follow if you don’t want to have a wedding coordinator. That helps alternative weddings to take place effortlessly.

In addition, you can find out how to become an officiant if that seems to be calling you to do. There is a book that gives you all of the marriage laws which apply to doing weddings in all of the 50 states and the US territories. This is all of the rules and regulations in each of the individual states and the territories.

Later on down the road, after you have started a family, you can have memorable Christenings or Baby Naming Ceremonies, if you so desire. Alternative weddings by Rev. Roberts is all-encompassing!
