Here are some customer quotes from happy, well-satisfied clients who have used Rev. Dr. Barbara Roberts to officiate their weddings. These have been every type of wedding from small and intimate to large gatherings in various places.
"Barbara married us on April 30, 2000. It was a very small family gathering. My attendants were my two nieces, ages eight and six at the time.
They thought this was a fun affair and I feared we'd never get through it without one of them growing bored and acting up. Barbara was able to keep everything professional and sweet and the girls conducted their duties perfectly.
Regardless of whether you have a formal or small intimate wedding, I would recommend Barbara for just the right touch!"
'Rev. Barbara Roberts of Meaningful Marriages went above and
beyond to help us have the wedding of our dreams. Initially, I spoke with Rev.
Roberts and gave her an idea of what we wanted for our wedding ceremony; from
there she provided us with options for the venue of our wedding, options for
our wedding vows, and she suggested a wonderful photographer. While we were
planning the ceremony, Rev. Roberts stayed in contact with us and answered any
questions that we had. In the end we had the wedding ceremony we always wanted.
It was personalized for us and that is what made our wedding one of the most
memorable days in our lives."

Here are some other customer quotes from couples I married:
"Dear Barbara and Brian,
We could not have done it without you! You had the kindness, caring and patience to drive and hike to the exact spot, by the waterfall, that we wanted to be married at.
Your professional, yet loving spirit guided us through the entire process. We can not thank you enough. You made it wonderful.
Hugs and love, Julie"
"Barbara - Thank you so much for officiating our wedding ceremony! Alan and I are so happy you were able to marry us in such a beautiful ceremony - even though the candles blew out. Thank you again."
Alan and Christy P., married at Forrest Hills Mountain Resort
Another of the customer quotes from a satisfied couple.
This was a Country Western wedding held at the Big Gazebo at Forrest Hills on August 27, 2011 with Donna Wheeler and Robert Golder. There were some challenges leading up to it, but all turned out well. "I would like to extend my thanks again for officiating our wedding and your patience with us in light of Robert's health." -Donna Sue Golder
"Pastor Barbara Roberts,
Thanks so much for making our wedding day a special one. I hope we can keep in touch. You made us both feel at ease. Thanks also for driving from so far away to make our wedding happen.
Love, Seth and Sharon"
On November 13, 2011, this couple was married at Amicalola State Park, on the veranda on the lower level of the Lodge. It was a glorious Fall day with perfect weather and still some color in the leaves behind them.
For the cooler weather, I wore my thicker white robe with the black velvet mantle on it, instead of the lavender one, which is for Summertime.
For something new and different to have at your wedding, you might want to try handfasting. At this wedding, the couple had the ceremony, which is the first one I have done. It involved wrapping colored ribbons, tied lariat-style in the middle, around the couple's hands. After the wedding, the knot that I tied around their hands will never be untied.
Since the wedding was in November, I wore my antique black velvet robe. Carter and Gary were nice enough to send me some pictures from their wedding, which I have shared here.
